Reminder – OEF May Membership MeetingApril 30, 2012

The quarterly membership meeting will be 7:00 PM Thursday, 3 May at Santa Fe Cattle Co., 7101 SE 29th St, just North of Tinker AFB. Click the link for a map.

The primary topic of the meeting will be an explanation of the upcoming Lake Stanley Draper Mountain Bike Trail operating agreement between OEF and the OKC Water Utilities Trust (OCWUT), and the requirements for usage permits.

All members and non-members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Draper Black Loop Work Days – May 12 / June 2April 24, 2012

We’ll be having two work days at Draper soon to refine the Black Loop and do some other maintenance work.

Starting time will be 7:30 AM both days and we’ll meet at the big berm in the Black Loop (just north of the skinny pole). Bring gloves and bug spray.

Draper Work Day – April 14April 13, 2012

This event has been canceled due to significant rainfall. Thanks to those that had planned to come out and help. Please keep an eye out for later dates.

Bridge Replacement at Bluff CreekApril 8, 2012

We replaced an old bridge on Saturday, 7 April at Bluff Creek that was worn out and partially below the water level. We had ten volunteers (and two greatly appreciated riders that helped us lug a couple of 20-plus foot telephone poles) and we got it done in 5 1/2 hours. We removed the old bridge, and built the new one out of materials reclaimed from some of the other bridges that have been removed.

Bluff Creek Bridge Repair – April 7March 31, 2012

The oldest bridge at Bluff Creek is badly in need of repair. We’ll be working on Saturday, April 7 to put it back in shape. Starting time will be 9:00.
