The trail is so good after this rain, so good infact that if it was any better the OEF could start charging an admission fee. Hey that's not a bad idea other states charge to ride. But this is Oklahoma City where good riding isn't provided by the city, but by the OEF! So support the OEF by signing up for a membership today. Without them where would you ride in Oklahoma City,.. the Road that's where.
Sign up for a membership at the RDR race next weekend and support the OEF in there efforts to keep mountain biking in OKC and nice as it is.

Red dirt is like brown sugar with a little moisture it's a sweet, sweet thing.

Walked most of the green n its not bad after the rain. Few spots standing water n a few places a little soft but can get by those places. Someone was riding n I asked about the red,he said was in great shape.
Go ride ppl !!! ( :

FYI don't plan your draper ride for this Sunday, apparently the Red Dirt Rendezvous race is that day...

Is it good to go for tomorrow though? I'd hate to go after they get it all prepped and screw something up.

Not sure who was doing the work on the sign and painting but it looks amazing. You looked pretty involved today and I didn't want to interrupt but thank you! Draper is amazing!

The man with the Plan is HenryG and small group of helpers. I think the color has a clean look and welcomes trail users into the park.

In Taiwan, the doors are red to ward away evil spirits. Can't hurt for a trailhead! :)

Met Henry out there a couple of weeks ago while riding with my uncle. Hell of a nice guy. Im hoping to be around that area more. :) And thanks to those constantly involved on working the trails. I dont have alot of free time to donate that Im not riding, but there will definately be a few bucks thrown that direction. :D

Draper was not muddy last night, but you may have some moist dirt on your tires.

Draper good to go

Postby TerryT » Wed Dec 21, 2011 6:52 pm

Draper is good to go. A little slow and puddles in the usual spots. No muddy sections. This will probably change a little with freezing temps this weekend. Next week's forecast is looking good.

I know rain has been off and on this past week but how is it looking? I haven't been able to get out and ride pretty much all winter due to work/broken bike and now get to tomorrow. I know it drains pretty well but I do not want to trash anything. Also, I know blue is getting worked on so is it closed or just have detours in it?

Stopped at Draper yesterday around six to check the normal standing water spots and I got rained on. Darn. May be by Sunday afternoon. Depends on the wind also. BD

Any chance in hell of some of the loops being dry on Saturday? I assume black and red will be wet, but what about yellow , orange, and green?

I'd shoot for Sunday afternoon. Not any wind/breeze to speak of today.
The regular standing water spots will likely not be empty on Sunday but most of the trail should be rideable.
If I find out differently I'll post here.

I was going to post yesterday with the recommendation of Sunday as well...Sunday at the earliest. The soil is still squishy-wet as of last night and the hills are still draining water onto the pavement. Plants are starting to suck up some water now, but we had over 4" this week.
