Re: [earthbike] Chili-Bike

Hello guys

The trails are okay
the volunteers have been out there several times this week
riding all four trails
it's the 80/20 rule
80% is going to be good
and 20% is going to be muddy

what can you expect after the wet winter we are having

Chili-Bike is held on President's Day weekend
Unfortunately that conflicted with Valentine's Day
We had several discussions on moving the date
The guys won, we kept it on Presdent's Day weekend

Hope to see some of you at Chili-Bike
in the cold north wind

Mary

Well folks, "Chili Bike" was just that, chilly. Plus a new phenomenon "Smud" (snow plus mud). Kinda like that crud that builds up on your car while driving around in ice and snow only it's on your bike. I would say the 80-20 rule was more like 60-40 after this mornings pre-ride snow flurries. That is a great place to ride. To bad the weather could not not have been more cooperative.

But the food was great and many kudos to Mary and the gang for putting on such a fine event despite the conditions.

btw-All those pretty Specialized bikes (carbon S-Works Enduro, 7K+) looked mighty fine hanging nice and clean on the rack. And that is as close to dirt as they got today (to bad Bill, that 29er Stumpy had your name on it.)

 lol I didn't miss getting mud that's for sure, and I got all the snow and cold right here, but
was disappointed I missed the ChiliBike. I had a flat tire when I was getting ready to leave. Vey disappointed
not being there, had looked forward to it.. I still have the money put aside for it.
I just need to know about getting it to them.
Hope it dries up and gets warmer.
Thanks
Robin
